Hello there!
I’m Nikki, I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011 with a MA Hons. in Music (2:1). I’ve been back in Manchester since 2014, I have both Grade 8 Piano and Grade 8 Vocals. I teach piano students from Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Bury. I have a passion for music education and will support students on their musical journey to achieve their goals. I teach OCR GCSE Music privately- outside of schools. In August 2023 my private Music GCSE Student achieved an 8.
I regularly perform live music either as a pianist or as a vocalist in NTJQ. I have a wealth of performance experience from function bands to original bands, from weddings to birthday parties. I play Bass Guitar in the funky fusion band Really Rhubarb. I write original music and create educational music resources check them out in the brand new Music Nik shop!
I have previously worked as a Musical Director (Made in Dagenham, Evita, Rent). I also work in secondary schools, assisting with GCSE Music Performance preparation and delivering instrumental tuition in a range of instruments. In Summer 2023 I performed in the band for a high school production of little shop of horrors.
